Pittsburgh's Historic Diamond District
Built in 1927 in the Art Deco style, the Clark Building has been the heart of Pittsburgh's jewelry trade for nearly a century.
Generations of the city's diamond dealers, designers, and goldsmiths have worked behind its limestone facade, making it one of the country's most storied jewelers' buildings still in continuous operation.

Do I need an appointment to visit?
Walk-ins are always welcome during regular hours.
For custom design consultations or to view specific Refined American Diamonds from our inventory, we recommend booking an appointment so we can prepare for your visit and give you our undivided attention.
Where exactly is the showroom in the Clark Building?
We're on the second floor, Suite 203. Enter the Clark Building at 717 Liberty Avenue, take the elevator or stairs to the second floor, and you'll see our entrance to the right.
The building is directly across Liberty Avenue from the Wood Street T Station.
Can I see American Diamonds - Refined in person?
Yes.
Our Pittsburgh showroom is the home of American Diamonds - Refined, an ethically sourced inventory of GIA-graded natural diamonds sourced in the United States and expertly recut for modern light performance.
Stones can be viewed under showroom lighting at any visit. To see specific carat weights, cuts, or qualities, call ahead so we can prepare a selection for your appointment.
Is there parking nearby?
Yes. Metered on-street parking is available on Liberty Avenue and nearby streets. Several garages are within a two-block walk — Third Avenue Garage is closest, followed by Mellon Square Garage and Smithfield-Liberty Garage.

Yes. While we love meeting clients in our Pittsburgh showroom, we also offer virtual video consultations for custom design, diamond selection, and general guidance.
This allows us to serve clients throughout Western Pennsylvania and beyond — you don't need to be in Pittsburgh to work with us.
